2002 PhD Physics from Brown
Jun was the second physics PhD to graduate from the lab, back in 2002. He worked on the tunneling spectroscopy of Si/SiGe double-barrier resonant tunneling nanostructures, including lateral size confinement and inhomogeneous strain.
His PhD thesis was entitled Strain-Induced Quantization in Si/SiGe Vertical Quantum Dots and Rings, with signal publications on strain-induced quantum ring hole states, as well as on quantum antidots in collaboration with Goldman’s group at Stony Brook.
After Brown he joined Micron Semiconductor in Boise, ID.
