2005 PhD EE from Brown

Brian was the first EE PhD student to graduate from the lab in 2005 and remains the all-time champion for the length of time in the group (he did his ScB at Brown and began working in the lab as an undergraduate).  He worked on transport in carbon nanotube Y-junctions and ballistic GaAs diodes.

His PhD thesis was entitled Ballistic Transport in Short Diodes and Nanotubs, with publications on carbon nanotube Y-junction current amplification and the use of Y-junctions as natural double-gate structures.

After Brown he first joined AMD to work on microprocessor design, and is now with Synopsys.
