2017 PhD Physics from Brown [co-advised by David Paine]

Yang worked on indium-zinc-oxide (IZO) amorphous TFTs with applications in display and possibly rf technologies, co-advised by David Paine of the Materials Engineering group at Brown. 

He defended his PhD thesis, entitled Characteristics and Stability of High-Performance Indium-Zinc-Oxide TFTs, publishing papers on high-performance IZO TFTs with high-k dielectrics and TFT stability as a function of aging and stress – the latter work was in collaboration with Technion University, Israel.

After Brown, Yang went on to Yelp, Inc., but subsequently moved to Apple.
