Vesna Mitrović – Brown University

Vesna MitrovicProfessor Mitrović joined the Brown Physics Department in 2003. A graduate of Illinois Institute of Technology, she received her Ph.D. from Northwestern University in 2001. She is an A. P. Sloan Fellow and a Fellow of the American Physical Society.

Chandrasekhar Ramanathan – Dartmouth College

Chandrasekhar RamanathanProfessor Ramanathan is an experimental physicist working at the interface of quantum information processing and condensed matter physics. He has a B. Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an S.M. in Technology and Policy and an Sc.D. in Nuclear Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Following postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School, Nottingham University and MIT, he spent a number of years at MIT as a Research Scientist. He joined Dartmouth College in August 2010.

John B Marston – Brown University

JB Marston Professor Marston joined the Brown Physics Department in 1991. A graduate of Caltech, he received his Ph.D. from Princeton University in 1989 and did postdoctoral work at Cornell University. He has been a visiting scientist at the Institute for Theoretical Physics at UC Santa Barbara, a visiting professor at MIT, a visiting associate at Caltech, and a visiting professor at ENS-Lyon. Marston is an Alfred P. Sloan Fellow, a recipient of a National Young Investigator Award, and a Fellow and lifetime member of the American Physical Society. He has chaired the KITP Advisory Board, and is a member of the American Geophysical Union and the American Meteorological Society. Marston was originally trained in condensed matter physics but has also worked on climate science since 1990. In 2008 Marston was designated a NSF American Competitiveness and Innovation Fellow.

Dmitri Feldman – Brown University

Dmitri FeldmanProfessor Feldman joined the Brown Physics Department in 2003. A graduate of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, he received his Ph. D. from the Landau Institute for Theoretical Physics in 1998. He has done his postdoctoral research at the Weizmann Institute of Science and Argonne National Laboratory. He was a recipient of the Koshland Scholar Award from the Weizmann Institute of Science and CAREER Award from NSF.
