As the 2024 school year comes to an end, we would like to showcase the outstanding graduating students from our labs.

Josephine Kalshoven, Ph.D.- Mentored by Dr. Joseph Crisco during her five years in the lab. She will be taking her expertise to the Boson area to work in the medical device industry.

Sophia Sordilla, M.S.- Mentored by Dr. Joseph Crisco during her two years in the lab. She will be continuing her work as a research technician at the Ragon Institute in Cambridge, MA.

Andrew Christenson, M.S.- Mentored by Dr. Joseph Crisco during his two years in the lab. He will be continuing his work full-time at New Balance, supporting Footwear Development teams as a Fit/ Wear Test Specialist, focused on Field of Play sports. Joseph Stevenson, M.S. – Mentored by Dr. Joseph Crisco during his two years in the lab. He plans on moving to Boston and continuing his work as a Lead Data Processing Engineer for KinaTrax. Joseph is the recipient of the Brown Biomedical Engineering Master’s Speaker Award 2024.

Anika Breker, B.S.- Mentored by Dr. Braden Fleming during her two years in the lab. She will be attending Warren Alpert Medical School this fall and hopes to specialize in Orthopaedic Surgery. Anika is the recipient of the 2024 Morris L. Povar Prize in Zoology or Physiology.

Layla Lynch, B.S.- Mentored by Dr. Joseph Crisco during her two years in the lab. She will be entering graduate school at the University of Michigan’s School of Kinesiology in the musculoskeletal Biomechanics and Imaging Laboratory (MBIL) to complete a Ph.D. in Movement Science. The MBIL integrates robotics, biomechanics, and ultrasound imaging to quantify mechanical changes in the underlying soft tissue to improve the lives of cancer survivors.
