We have an active clinical practice and research program focusing on this treatment modality, having performed over 100 clinical cases and having numerous peer-reviewed publications in this space.

Dr. Ward earned his MD at The George Washington University in Washington, DC. He performed his diagnostic radiology residency and fellowship at Rhode Island Hospital and the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University where he was also Chief Resident. Dr. Ward is an Associate Professor of Diagnostic Imaging at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and also serves as the Program Director for the Breast Imaging Fellowship. He is also Associate Chief of Diagnostic Imaging at Women & Infants Hospital. He is past President of the Rhode Island Radiological Society. Dr. Ward specializes in women’s imaging and breast cryoablation.

Dr. Ward has given dozens of invited national presentations and lectures, and has also organized multiple educational courses teaching breast radiologists, interventional radiologists, and breast surgeons about implementing breast cryoablation in practice.
