Matt, it has been a true pleasure to work with you and to get to know you over the last 20+ years! The time has flown by, but I am a better person because of the experiences you’ve shared with me. The Wind Symphony has been an incredible exploration of musicianship and literature under your expertise. The support you have shown for the students has always been the focus of your work. You have been the stalworth flag bearer for wind music on the Brown University campus for decades. We will miss your depth of knowledge and sense of tradition. Your years at Brown were well founded and your sense of bearing will be sorely missed. Thank you for sharing yourself with the multitude of students that have passed under your baton. Thank you for bringing me into the Brown music family. Thank you for becoming a wonderful friend. I wish you and Skye the best! Stay healthy and happy!
