What we do
Our Work
The new Center on Heat, Health, and Aging Innovation and Research Solutions for Communities draws on scholarship from a range of disciplines at Brown, from public health, to environmental and Earth science, to population studies. Center leaders will work closely with Equitable Climate Futures, an academic initiative focused on building Brown’s capacity for climate research, with an emphasis on under-resourced communities.
Administrative Core
Responsible for synthesizing findings from the Research, Community Engagement, and Capacity Building Cores into actionable solutions.
Research Project
Combines advanced spatiotemporal exposure modeling with national Medicare data for case-crossover epidemiologic analyses.
Capacity Building Core
Prepares innovative research that reflects the complexity of climate-related public health hazards.
Community Engagement Core
Promotes multi-directional communication among the Center and its investigators.
