Emily Lim Rogers is the Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in Disability Studies at the Cogut Institute, American Studies, and STS at Brown. She received her BA from Sarah Lawrence College in 2015, and her PhD in American Studies at NYU in 2021. In her undergrad years, she received support from the Leadership Alliance-Mellon Initiative and Liberal Arts Diversity Officers Consortium, two fellowships devoted to student of color success in higher ed. Currently, she is working on her first book project, Biomedicine’s Binds, about the racialized, gendered, and sexual politics of ME/CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome). She identifies as a queer, multiply disabled Asian-American, and lives in Providence and NYC with her Miniature Schnauzer, Sandy.
