Yesenia Vega (she/they) is a M.S. candidate in College Student Personnel at the University of Rhode Island. They are a first-gen graduate with a B.A. in Psychology and B.A. in Sociology/Latin American and Latinx Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Currently, she works at the University of Rhode Island as a Graduate Hall Director in Housing and Residential Life, and is a graduate student intern at Brown University’s LGBTQ Center. After completing their graduate program, Yesenia hopes to work in a space where they can support the growth and development of first-gen, low-income, LGBTQ+, and students of color.
