Julie Adams Strandberg started the dance program in 1969 – the same year as the adoption of the Open Curriculum- at a time of deep and significant change at the University.  The Festival of Dance will look back at five decades of dance at Brown and the social, political and cultural context of this milestone anniversary; showcase the current dance program, and share visions for the future.
