Claire Wardle, PhD, will participate in a panel discussion alongside Ashish Jha, MD, Dean of the Brown University School of Public Health, and Katelyn Jetelina of the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute at the Knight Foundation’s “INFORMED: Conversations on Democracy in the Digital Age.” The Nov. 28 panel will explore how disinformation online continues to affect public health and policy, and what lessons from the Covid response can be applied to the next infodemic.
The event will bring together key leaders and experts — including Rhode Island Secretary of State Nellie Gorbea, Safiya Noble, Yoel Roth, Talia Stroud and Tim Wu — to engage around the biggest questions at the intersection of technology, media and democracy. More information about the event can be found here.
