Sophia Smith Galer
Longtime content creator; Senior news reporter at Vice World News | London, UK
Project Overview
An initiative bringing content creators from across video platforms into schools to talk about the realities of life online — the good, bad, and ugly. Everything from their digital journeys to how they have monetized or boosted their careers, the importance of transparency and telling the truth and how they negotiate hours spent online with their offline lives and mental wellbeing, especially when it comes to dealing with abusive comments. A resource will be developed to advise creators and schools alike to work together to promote healthy digital lives with real-world application for young people in an attempt to build long-term digital literacy that will inoculate young people from misinformation.
