Neil Steinberg serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Rhode Island Life Science Hub, a quasi- public organization leading the growth of the life science/bio tech sector in the state. Steinberg is the former president and chief executive officer of the Rhode Island Foundation, the state’s community foundation and a leading organization dedicated to addressing community needs through philanthropy, grantmaking, and community leadership. Prior to his role at the Rhode Island Foundation, Steinberg served as the Vice President of Development and Campaign Director for Brown University. For the three decades before that, he worked for Fleet Financial, rising to the position of Chairman and CEO of Fleet Bank Rhode Island.
Steinberg is actively involved in various community organizations and has received numerous business and civic awards and honors for his leadership and contributions to Rhode Island.
He holds a B.A. in Applied Mathematics from Brown University (’75) and resides in Pawtucket with his family.
