J.D. Kleinke is a pioneering entrepreneur in the health care information industry. Over a 30+ year career, he helped establish Truven Health Anaytics, HealthGrades, and other breakthrough health care information companies; has served on the Boards of numerous health care companies and the Scientific Advisory Boards of Merck and Medtronic; and has authored three books and dozens of articles on the US health care system.
Mr. Kleinke has written extensively about the economics, politics, and culture of the US health care system. He has served as a frequent contributor to The Wall Street Journal; a member of the Editorial Boards of Health Affairs and Managed Healthcare Executive; and a Resident Scholar at the American Enterprise Institute. His work has also appeared in The New York Times, Barron’s, JAMA, Modern Healthcare, and Forbes. His books include Catching Babies, a novel about maternity care in the US, Bleeding Edge: The Business of Health Care in the New Century and Oxymorons: The Myth of a US Health Care System.
