Kiosk was designed from the first to be universal in its guts. But it was also partly developed on Uronarti during field seasons, and in the beginning it had quite a few personal touches. You’ll see traces of them in some places, like the “yup” and “nope” instead of yes and no if you dive into configuration. But most personal of all is the spider button.

There are really big camel spiders on Uronarti.

These guys pop if they drop, and so we have to be careful not to kill them (it is an animal-loving project). So we carefully excavate them and remove them, and the recording system has a way to keep track of the number of them thus removed.

Don’t worry. Every other project turns the spider button off in configuration. But if you have a lot of spiders…
