Our collaboration with Michael Dickey (North Carolina State University) has its first paper! We report a terahertz waveguide with integrated electrically actuated liquid metal components. This is the first terahertz add-drop filter. Congratulations to Kim and everybody else on the team.
Professor Mittleman has won a Research Award from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Many thanks to Prof. Martin Koch for the nomination and support. We are looking forward to lots of productive collaborations with his group, and pleasant times in Marburg.

Our latest results on terahertz wireless channel characterization are now published in APL Photonics, as an invited article in a special issue of the journal devoted to terahertz topics. Our Nature Communications paper on terahertz multiplexing was recognized by the World Technology Network as the 2017 winner in the Communications Technology category! Congratulations to all.

Our paper on multiplexing of independent data streams has been published in Nature Communications. Congratulations to Jianjun and Nick, as well as to our collaborators in Lille, Sara Bretin and Guillaume Ducournau.
Our work in partnership with Masaya Nagai from Osaka University, on an artificial dielectric polarizing beamsplitter (PBS) and an isolator for THz radiation was recently published in Scientific Reports.
Rajind offered an introductory research-oriented course for high-school students, titled, The final frontier of the electromagnetic spectrum: the Terahertz Gap, under the Summer@Brown Pre-College program.
