John F. Mustard
Professor of Earth, Environmental, & Planetary Sciences
Professor of Environmental Studies
John (Jack) was born in Toronto, Ontario on March 13, 1961 to Elizabeth and Fraser Mustard. He is number five of six children in the family. His family moved to Dundas, Ontario in 1968, and is where John grew up until leaving in 1980 to pursue educational opportunities in British Columbia, Canada, and Rhode Island, USA.

Carol Hundal
Carol got her undergraduate degree in Astrophysics from Wellesley College in 2018. Her current research integrates spectroscopy, morphology, and stratigraphy to understand an important geologic unit in the landing site for NASA’s Perseverance Rover which may shed light on Mars’ mysterious history of volcanism.

Eashan Das
Eashan is a senior at Brown University concentrating in Geology-Chemistry with a focus on planetary science. My research involves using novel quantitative remote sensing methods to detect minerals in complex mixtures. I’m currently using Guided Endmember Extraction (GEEn) along with non-linear mixture modeling to determine the presence of sulfates in the Basal Unit and its connection to gypsum in Olympia Undae.
