Our NSBP members who were at Brown University during the summer had the chance to meet and connect with members of the Harvard-MIT chapter. Thank you to everyone who participated in our joint event in Cambridge!

We will be celebrating Black History Month by highlighting and showcasing prominent Black physicists who have made important contributions to the field. This is a club formed for all graduate and undergraduate students interested in physics and associated areas of STEM whose members are dedicated to the mission and goals of the National Society of Black Physicists. A few of our members including Farrah Simpson, Rutendo Jakachira and Tats Daniel, as well as one of our advisors and postdoc Joshua Burrow, attended the NSBP 2023 Annual Conference November 9-12, 2023. They participated in organizing the conference, presented their research and engaged with other physics professionals. They also had a coffee hour with Dr. David Spergel, president of the Simons Foundation and one of the keynote speakers at the conference.
The Brown University NSBP Chapter will be attending the 2023 NSBP Annual Conference in Knoxville, Tennessee on November 9th-12th. Check out our members at last year’s conference.
