The Planetary Health Initiative within the Division of Biology and Medicine invites all members of the Brown community to explore the intersection of human health and environmental change at a day-long symposium on May 1st at the Warren Alpert Medical School. The event will feature the 2025 Levinger Lecture delivered by Dr. Sam Myers, Executive Director of the Planetary Health Alliance and Founder of the Johns Hopkins Institute for Planetary Health.

The day will include a dynamic mix of presentations, including a showcase of student research efforts in planetary health and a plenary session on climate change and emerging fungal pathogens. There will also be interactive workshops and panels covering topics such as climate modeling, environmental exposures, food systems sustainability, and planetary health advocacy. Attendees will have networking opportunities during lunch and a closing reception, fostering collaboration and engagement across the Brown community.
