Visit Us

This study is conducted at Brown University’s Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior which is located at Butler Hospital’s Duncan Building (700 Butler Drive, Providence, RI 02906).

While getting to us is not difficult, it can be confusing. We recommend looking at our map on this page if you’ve never visited us before. Our offices are shown by the red arrow on the map. The best place to park is Lot C (located to the right of our building on map). There is additional parking in Lot B. All parking at Butler Hospital is free of charge.

When driving, if you type in our address in a GPS, it should take you right to our building.
Around the time of your appointment, one of our research assistants will come out to meet you. If you get lost at any point in time, please call or text us at 401-444-1913 or email us at RAYS@brown.edu.

If you do not have access to a vehicle, the best public transportation option (that would take you the closest to our center) would be Route 40 of the RIPTA bus. If you let us know ahead of time that you’ll be taking the bus, we can have a research assistant meet you at the stop around your appointment time. Alternatively, you can use a smartphone to look up GPS routes utilizing public transportation to find the best option for you.

We are also able to offer our visits remotely via zoom or phone.
