Medical Student Fellows Program
The 1- year medical student fellowship program is a joint initiative by the Center for Performance Measurement and the Multidisciplinary Cutaneous Oncology Program. Led by Dr. Oliver Wisco, is dedicated to offering a comprehensive and immersive education in dermatology for MD and DO students. Our program is rooted in a firm commitment to fostering a thorough understanding of dermatological principles, clinical practices, and research methodologies. Equipping students with these essential tools empowers them to excel as future dermatology practitioners and researchers.
Moreover, our program goes beyond individual growth. We place a significant emphasis on cultivating a collaborative spirit among students, instructors, and the broader medical community. Through purposeful collaborations and partnerships, we strive to create an environment where diverse perspectives converge to generate innovative solutions. Our belief in the potential of collaboration not only enhances students’ problem-solving skills but also nurtures a sense of shared purpose and teamwork.
Aligned with our mission, the program embraces a hands-on learning approach. This experiential style is complemented by mentorship from experts like Dr. Wisco, ensuring that students receive personalized guidance. This prepares the next generation of dermatologists to possess a deep understanding of the field and be well-prepared to challenge conventions, pursue excellence, and drive innovation within dermatology.
