Opportunities

For K-12 educators, RISG support can take the form of STEM professional development, participation in NASA challenges, field trips, and more. Contact us for more information. Awardees must be US Citizens.

Possible Options

  • Curriculum and Professional Development: Provide funding for STEM professional development. Coordinate and host workshops for RI science teachers.
  • Outreach: Facilitate matching science students with RI K-12 teachers to help bring the excitement of research into the classroom.
  • Field Trips: Provide bus funding and educational opportunities for students.
  • NASA challenges: Support for faculty research can be provided as stipends for data collection, analysis, etc. done by students
  • Travel Awards: Can range from meeting registration fees to air & hotel costs while participating in professional development and NASA opportunities.
