Joe Buccina is policy and research director for the National Security Commission on Emerging Biotechnology, which is charged by Congress with examining the critical intersection of emerging biotechnology and national security. He holds master of science degree in bioinformatics from The Johns Hopkins University and has held a variety of roles in biodefense and national security.
