Morgan Snell
Postdoctoral Fellow
Morgan is a postdoctoral fellow working with Dr. Jennifer Tidey, funded by a T32 training grant from the National Institute on Drug Abuse. She received her PhD in Healthcare Policy and Research from Virginia Commonwealth University in July 2020. Prior to joining the SHARE Lab team, Morgan’s work in tobacco regulatory science included studies related to tobacco advertising exposure and susceptibility to use of tobacco products among youth and adults, reasons to use e-cigarettes, nicotine dependence and dual use of conventional and e-cigarettes, and behavioral economic studies of tobacco product demand among vulnerable populations of adults who smoke. Her current research priorities rely on a behavioral economic approach to investigate harm reduction alternatives for nicotine-dependent adults, investigate patterns of poly-tobacco use and co-use of other substances, and assess variation in health risk for tobacco-related morbidity among vulnerable populations of nicotine-dependent adults.
Morgan moved to Rhode Island from Charlottesville, VA, and she spent more than a decade working in the food and beverage industry both before and while in school. In her free time, she enjoys running, hiking, weightlifting, and balancing all of that active time with a passion for great food and wine, and relaxing with a really good book.
