Grace Reed

Research Assistant

Grace is a research assistant with the CENIC: Project EXTRA study. She is an undergraduate at Brown pursuing the five-year AB/MPH program with plans to eventually attend medical school. Grace’s research interests are broadly centered on social determinants of health and health disparities. Within the area of addiction, she is particularly interested in studying smoking behaviors in individuals with serious mental illness and other vulnerable populations. Outside of research, Grace is part of a gun violence prevention student group at Brown and stays active in local policy issues related to health equity. She also enjoys serving as a teaching assistant for a large introductory public health course and mentoring adolescent girls in a summer leadership development program. In her free time, Grace loves listening to music, singing, and going to art museums.
