The Cardiac and Vascular Biology Research Programs at VA Providence Healthcare Center and Brown University Health Cardiovascular Institute include robust, preclinical, clinical, and outcome-based research.
Our commitment to excellence in cardiac and vascular biology research drives innovative advancements in cardiovascular health. Our multidisciplinary team of researchers and clinicians collaborates across several specialized centers to translate groundbreaking discoveries from bench to bedside. Our Programs
A collaborative environment dedicated to groundbreaking research in vascular biology and cardiovascular health.
Vascular Research Laboratory (VRL)
Located at the VA Providence Healthcare System, the VRL brings together clinical, translational and health services science experts dedicated to understanding cardiac and vascular diseases. Our collaborative efforts strive to develop innovative treatments for conditions such as pulmonary hypertension, heart failure, atherosclerosis, peripheral vascular disease and lung diseases.
Cardiovascular Research Center (CVRC)
At the Brown University Health CVRC, we delve into the fundamental mechanisms underlying cardiovascular diseases. The state-of-the-art facilities at CVRC enable in-depth studies on genetically modified models, focusing on areas such as molecular mechanisms of cardiac arrhythmias, sudden cardiac death, cardiomyocyte hypertrophy, heart failure, atherosclerosis and lipid disorders.
