The focus of Dr. Zhang’s research is to delineate the mechanisms underlying cardiac remodeling in response to hemodynamic stress in cardiopulmonary diseases. Our goal is to devise new therapeutic strategies that ultimately should benefit patients with cardiovascular disease. Dr. Zhang utilizes both in vitro and in vivo models in his research along with gene manipulation approaches and analytical techniques.
