2009 PhD EE from Brown

Dimitris joined us from the National Technical University in Athens.  He worked on Ge-on-insulator tunneling devices and their integration with high-k dielectrics.  He spent two summers as an intern at IBM Research working with Supratik Guha.  He defended his thesis, entitled Ultrathin Germanium/High-k Dielectric Structures for End-of-Roadmap Devices and Other Applications, in 2009, publishing a highly-cited paper on GeOI TFETs.  After Brown, he returned to Europe to work at CNRS in Paris and then the Paul Scherrer Institute, where he is now a tenured research scientist.
