The Bioarchaeology at Brown Working Group is a collective of faculty, post-doctoral fellows, and students with bioarchaeological research interests. Bioarchaeology exists at the interface of archaeology and biological anthropology and is largely focused on the study of human remains from archaeological sites. While much of this research is conducted abroad, the Group does take advantage of the Integrated Laboratory for Archaeological Science for sample preparation relating to isotopic analysis among other forms of research. Members of the Group are affiliated with the Department of Anthropology and the Joukowsky Institute for Archaeology and the Ancient World.
