The Get Fit to Quit study was a research study in the Murphy Brown Lab at Brown University. It was funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). The study’s goal was to test a new program we developed. The program was designed specifically for people who were overweight and smoked cigarettes, who wanted to quit smoking, and didn’t want to gain weight while quitting. We used their feedback to design and refine the program. It included both weight management and quitting smoking components.

This study ended in 2025. Results are posted on clinicaltrials.gov.
