The Harambee study works collaboratively with key academic and public health partners to ensure the study’s successfull implementation in Busia and Trans Nzoia counties of western Kenya. This study follows Kenya’s National AIDS & STI Control Program (NASCOP) guidelines for HIV treatment and prevention, and works closely with the following partners.

AMPATH Data Analysis Team (ADAT) the Academic Model Providing Access to Healthcare’s Data Analysis Team (ADAT) provides statistical and data management expertise in Kenya and is changing the typical structure of global health research collaborations. With funding from a D43 training grant from the Fogarty International Center at the National Institutes of Health, ADAT is co-directed by Ann Mwangi, PhD, Associate Professor of Biostatistics at Moi University, and Joseph Hogan, PhD, professor of biostatistics at Brown University. 

Kenya Ministry of Health – Busia County Part of Kenya’s National Ministry of Health, the Busia County Department of Health & Sanitation aims to build a progressive, sustainable, technologically-driven, evidence based and client centred health system with the highest attainable standards of health at all levels of care in Busia County.

Kenya Ministry of Health – Trans Nzoia County Part of Kenya’s National Ministry of Health, the Trans Nzoia Ministry of Health Services aims to provide quality health services that are equitable, responsive, accessible and accountable to the people of Trans Nzoia County.

Spatial Structures in the Social Sciences (S4) Housed at Brown University, the principal focus of the S4 is to develop, support, and extend spatial research for Brown investigators and their affiliates. To that end S4 both initiates and consults on a wide variety of research projects and proposals, and provides GIS training and resources to the Brown community.
