Welcome to the website of the Integrated Laboratory for Archaeological Sciences (ILAS)!
Our mission is to connect scholars, students, researchers, and the public with research activities of the ILAS. On this website we highlight projects and publications, facilities and equipment, and affiliated researchers and students.
The ILAS was created in 2023 to facilitate research in the archaeological sciences, including, but not limited to, paleoethnobotanical, zooarchaeological, ceramic, petrographic, and bioarchaeological analyses. The laboratory is shared between the Joukowsky Institute for Archaeology and the Ancient World (JIAAW) and the Department of Anthropology.
Our physical location is the Medical Research Laboratory (MRL) building, Rm 407, at 89 Waterman St, on the Brown University Campus.
