Sample fabrication space
- Chemical vapor deposition setup (1100 C tube furnace, gas flow controllers)
- Rapid thermal annealing system (up to 600 C in inert gas, forming gas, or < 5 mbar vacuum environment)
- Fume hood with spin coater, hot plate, stirrer, ultrasonic bath, nitrogen gun
- DI water purification system
- UV ozone cleaner
- Microbalance
- -20 C freezer, 4 C refrigerator
Microscopy space
- 2d materials transfer system with micro-manipulators, temperature control, and microscope
- Brightfield & darkfield optical microscope
- Wedge bonder
Measurement space
- Confocal Raman/Photoluminescence spectrometer system with 450-650 nm and 900-1300 nm tunable cw laser excitation, visible and near-infrared CCD detectors
- Closed-cycle variable temperature (<3.2-350 K) optical cryostation with 3-axis nanopositioners and electrical feedthroughs (12 DC, 4 RF)
- Optical environmental control chamber (<-195 C – 600 C compatible) with 4 electrical feedthroughs
- High vacuum pumping station (<1e-7 mbar)
- Micropipette puller & beveler
