The Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Translational Nanomedicine is located in Department of Orthopaedics at Rhode Island Hospital and the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. The mission of our laboratory is to study development, homeostasis, aging and disease pathology in musculoskeletal system and other related tissues, understand key molecular mechanisms in cell signaling pathway, and develop advanced therapy and diagnosis rely on emerging Nanotechnology.
We encourage undergraduate, graduate and medical students, post-doctoral fellows, residents and scholars with various backgrounds to apply and join our multidisciplinary laboratory. We also welcome a broad range of collaborations from academia, industry and government.
Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE)
The Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Translational Nanomedicine serves as one of the core laboratories in the Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) for Skeletal Health and Repair funded by NIH.
The COBRE enables biologists, chemists, materials scientists, engineers, and clinicians to conduct multidisciplinary research side-by-side for better understanding the molecular mechanisms of skeletal development and disease, as well as developing clinical strategies for skeletal repair.
