Drs. Lynn E. Taylor and Alice Kim have been friends and colleagues in medicine for 27 years since residency in Brown’s General Internal Medicine program.
Dr. Lynn E. Taylor
Lynn E. Taylor, MD, FACP, FAASLD, FIDSA, MDF Co-Founder and Co-Director, is a viral hepatitis, HIV/AIDS, internal medicine and primary care physician, general internist, clinical researcher, educator and public health advocate focused on prevention and treatment of hepatitis C virus infection (HCV) in people who inject drugs and persons with opioid use disorder in the context of whole-person care. She provides longitudinal primary and subspecialty care to patients with infectious consequences of addiction. Her patient care, research, teaching, policy and community-based efforts involve expanding access to HCV care and HCV elimination. She has worked on numerous NIH, ACTG, CSAT/SAMHSA, PCORI and private foundation-funded studies and served as an advisor to the CDC and World Health Organization. She has a son and a daughter. Lynn is committed to supporting physician mothers through all stages of training and career, and to system-level improvements to level the playing field for physicians who are mothers. Dr. Alice Kim Alice Y. Kim, MD, FACC, MDF Co-Director, is the Director of Advanced Structural Heart Disease for Care New England. She works as a non-invasive cardiologist at Kent Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. After training at Rhode Island Hospital for 6 years and working in private practice cardiology in NY for 8 years, she now is an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Tina Rizack Tina Rizack, MD, MPH, FNCBC, is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She practices hematology and oncology at St. Anne’s Reginal Cancer Center in Fall River, MA. She has a special interest in hematological and oncological complications during pregnancy. She serves on the admissions committee for the Alpert Medical School and is a mentor for the doctoring program. She is the mother of two active boys and a recently retired military spouse. She is active in mentoring fellow mom docs and facilitating networking among female physicians. Dr. Molly Tracy
Molly Tracy, MD, is an Instructor in Neurology at Harvard Medical School and an attending physician in Neurology, Epilepsy, and Clinical Neurophysiology at Boston Children’s Hospital. She practices in North Dartmouth, MA, in a community-based practice where children and families are supported in their diversity. She is mother of two beautiful children, and feels very lucky to have been part of the MomDoc community through many years of growth as a parent, physician, and woman. Dr. Tracy feels that it is an honor to carry on the tradition of providing support to other Momdocs through career challenges, domestic dilemmas, relationship stresses, and inevitable parenting challenges. Dr. Caroline Chang Caroline A. Chang, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and associate staff dermatologist at Rhode Island Hospital. She practices general and cosmetic dermatology with a special focus on melanoma and the use of dermoscopy for mole monitoring. Dr. Chang is excited to support MDF members using her experience as a community-based dermatologist as well as a budding physician entrepreneur and practice owner. She is committed to the MDF goal of helping physician mothers by creating a shared network of personal and professional support through collaboration and mentorship. Dr. Noelle Pruzan MDF liaison to Brown University’s Office of Women in Medicine and Science (OWIMS)
Noelle Layer Pruzan, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained glaucoma and cataract surgeon. She is the Chief of Ophthalmology at the Providence VA Medical Center, the VA Site Director for Brown’s ophthalmology residency program, and an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Brown’s Alpert Medical School. She previously spent almost a decade in private practice. She has three young daughters. She is happy to speak with medical students, residents, and fellows who may be navigating, or planning to navigate, motherhood while in the early stages of a surgical specialty.
