Welcome to NSF Quantum Idea Incubator at Brown

About NSF Quantum Idea Incubator: The National Science Foundation’s Quantum Idea Incubator for Transformational Advances in Quantum Systems (QII – TAQS) program is designed to support interdisciplinary teams that will explore highly innovative, original, and potentially transformative ideas for developing and applying quantum science, quantum computing, and quantum engineering. Program Solicitation can be found here.

NSF Quantum Idea Incubator at Brown: In 2019, a team of Brown University researchers was awarded a $2 million grant from the NSF to build a quantum mechanical magnetic camera, which will take snapshots of weak magnetic fields emanating from quantum materials. The camera will help researchers to understand the exotic materials that may one day be used in quantum computers and other quantum devices.
