At the IPTR lab we are interested in furthering the field of PTSD treatment and research for military Veterans who have been affected by trauma. We are a group of Brown University and VA-affiliated researchers and clinicians collaborating on novel approaches to advance clinical practice for Veterans with PTSD. To do this, we synthesize converging lines of research including neuroscience, psychotherapy, and complementary interventions for PTSD and associated problems.  It is important to us that the research we do is focused on improving Veterans’ quality of life and functioning rather than just the reduction of symptoms.

We aim to advance knowledge of how individuals heal from trauma and to provide effective clinical care that is directly informed by research to improve the lives of Veterans and their families.
