Workshop Facilitator

Jess Wong is a 5th year doctoral student in Physics at Brown University, studying under Prof. Meenakshi Narain in a High Energy Experiment research group. Her research focuses on searches for new particles in Beyond Standard Model. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in the University of Hong Kong, with a double major in Physics and Astronomy. Interested in understanding the origin of “things”, she embarked on her journey in Physics, beginning from looking at dark matter in large scale objects through strong gravitational lensing. Now she walks in the world of elementary particles, where “things”, or matter, are built. It fascinates her that the boundless universe can be studied at the tiniest scale, reaching the unreachable. Outside of work, she is also a passionate boulderer and dancer, with experience in Argentine tango, Ballroom, Latin and ballet.
