Welcome!

We are a group of developmental labs at Brown University who study how children learn and think about the world around us.
Playing games with us leads to understanding how kids develop!

We are interest in how infants, children, and teens: learn new words and word-meanings and combine them into more complex new sentences and thoughts, reason about cause and effect, physical objects, and social others.

Our labs conduct studies starting from infancy through adolescence, with help from kids between the ages of 3 months and 17 years.

Our research studies are set up as fun games that parents and children can do either in-person at our lab spaces over Zoom with a researcher from one of our labs! If you are interested, please sign up button above or use this link. The contact list is shared only with the child development labs here at Brown. You can see which labs this includes here.
