2023-2024:

Congratulations to Moses Brown School, the winners of the 8th Annual Rhode Island Regional! They will face the Connecticut winners Choate Rosemary Hall this week as part of the Northeast Divisional Playoffs to determine who will advance to the National tournament at Chapel Hill this April.

This year’s bowl featured 10 teams from five Rhode Island schools:

  • 360 High School
  • Blackstone Valley Prep
  • East Greenwich High School
  • Moses Brown School
  • Narragansett High School

The results of the preliminary rounds showed how well prepared and evenly matched these students were:

  • Narragansett’s ‘Red Team’ lead the pack with 2 wins and 1 tie.
  • The top teams from the remaining four schools were all tied with 2 wins and 1 loss.

Tie-breakers were used to determine advancement to the elimination rounds, by a difference of only 0.5 judge votes. The match ups were:

  • East Greenwich (Team 2) vs Moses Brown (Team 1)
  • Blackstone Valley Prep (Team 1) vs Narragansett (Red Team)

The final round ended in a narrow split decision in favor of Moses Brown over the runner up Narragansett Red Team.
