Project ARC

Project ARC

Our paid participants wear alcohol-detecting bracelets and answer surveys, which helps contribute to important research on the everyday drinking experiences of young adults.

This study is a little over 2 years total, and involves three, annual data collection periods, the first of which would start after your onboarding session. Your second annual data collection will be one year from then, and the third will be two years from then. We call each of these data collection periods “bursts.” The things you’ll be asked to do each year are very similar. Before Burst 2 and Burst 3, you will complete an online survey and meet with project staff to review procedures. Then, you’ll again have 1 month of daily data collection, which is shown with a star on this diagram.  This is the most involved part of what you’ll be asked to do each year.

During that month, you will wear the alcohol sensor bracelet  and you answer questions on a smartphone app about your alcohol and cannabis use.
