Do you and your students want to see what it might be like to grow plants on the Moon or Mars? This is your chance!
The NASA Rhode Island Space Grant Consortium is pleased to announce that funding applications are now being accepted for the Plant the Moon Challenge for the Spring 2025 growing season.
This hands-on STEM engagement opportunity is open to students of all ages, and invites student groups to design their own experiments to grow plants in simulated Moon or Mars soil. This is a great opportunity for interactive science that is directly relevant to multiple Next Generation Science Standards, and we encourage educators and student groups from across Rhode Island to apply.
The NASA RISG will support a limited number of teams/classes to take part in the Spring 2025 growing season. Visit the following links to be considered for funding by the NASA RI Space Grant:
