Student Research Conference in Madison, WI,  November 2019

Thanks to a very generous opportunity, David Targan, President Brown Chapter, and Geeta Chougule were able to take 4 students to the Sigma Xi Student Research conference.

The four students, Tara Thakurta (research groups of Brenda Rubenstein & Louise Lapierre), Gabrielle Ferra (research groups of Brenda Rubenstein & Bjorn Sandstede), Andrew Ton (research groups of Brenda Rubenstein and Richard Stratt) and Luc Langlois (research group of Anita Shukla), presented their summer research posters on Friday and Saturday: https://www.sigmaxi.org/meetings-events/annual-meeting-and-student-research-conference/student-research-conference

We are excited to tell you that Tara Thakurta and Luc Langlois both won the award in their poster divisions. They each received an honor at the Conference Ceremony banquet on Saturday evening, medal, monetary award, subscription to the American Scientist Magazine, and a year of free membership dues in Sigma Xi.
