BCM Access and Training

Existing Users: Access BCM here!

New Users: BCM Access Information

For access to BCM please complete the following steps:

1. Be sure training is complete.

2. Visit https://ithelp.brown.edu/new-ticket  and log in
3. Click Submit a Request
4. Enter the request title: Access to BCM
5. Under Request Type, choose ACCESS Request [choose sub-category]
6. Choose APPLICATION LIST (all other requests)
7. In the application list, choose Brown Contract Management System (BCM)
8. Enter your name and email address and the requested information if you are submitting the request for someone else.
9. Indicate whether you are in the BioMed division. If not, select “for all other departments”
10. Enter your supervisor’s email address
11. Include any notes/message, such as user’s desired Workgroup
12. Submit

The request will be sent to your supervisor and the BCM System Administrator for approval. Once approved and training is complete, you will receive the BCM access link and confirmation that you have been activated in BCM.

Departmental or One on One meeting with BCM subject matter experts – Upon request, SPC can provide tailored meetings with department groups or individuals to help with any questions you may have and provide assistance in using BCM. It is encouraged that attendees bring specific questions or examples to the sessions, as it is not intended to be a training lecture. Please reach out to Courtney Wuethrich, Senior Application & Contracts Support Specialist to schedule.

Educational Sessions – SPC is happy to come to your department and provide educational sessions upon request, either in-person or via Zoom.  Just reach out to Shannon Covill, Assistant Director, Contracts in SPC to schedule.  Sessions typically range from an hour to an hour and a half and consist of general contracting basics, an overview of the contract process at Brown and supporting policies, a live walkthrough of BCM, and an interactive Q&A session.
