Lab Manager/ Research Assistant Position

Research Assistant – Cognitive Neuroscience of Cognitive Control and Memory 

A Full-Time Research Assistant position is available in the Cognitive Control and Memory Lab at Brown University. Methods used in the lab include behavioral testing, functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), and the testing of patient populations. Our lab conducts cognitive neuroscience research on memory and executive function. Responsibilities include general assistance with on-going projects in the lab and general lab administration.

Minimum Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, Computer Science, Psychology or a related field, 2-3 years of research experience and or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Research experience in the behavioral or neural or data sciences. Experience with fMRI or other cognitive neuroscience methods is desirable, but not required.
  • Good interpersonal/organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills required. Programming ability, particularly in MATLAB, will be given preference.

Postdoctoral Positions

Postdoctoral Position – Neural Dynamics of Cognitive Control and Working Memory

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in the Badre Lab at Brown University. This position would contribute to an NIMH funded project on the neural dynamics of cognitive control and working memory using electrocorticography (ECoG). Applications are welcome from scientists with interests broadly related to the neuroscience of cognitive control and working memory. Applicants with expertise in electrophysiological approaches (ECoG, EEG, in vivo recordings) are particularly encouraged to apply. Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent degree or must show evidence that the degree will be completed before the start of the position.
