KORY STIFFLER, PhD: Curriculum Vitae

Kory Stiffler is a theoretical physicist with research interests in supersymmetry, black hole physics, cosmology, and string theory. His supersymmetry research focuses on supersymmetric representation theory. He uses adinkras, diagrams that encode the mathematics of supersymmetry, to categorize the plethora of supersymmetric representations. In researching black hole physics and cosmology, he uses string inspired models such as the diffeomorphism field, to theoretically investigate cosmological inflation and mathematical descriptions of black hole sources. In researching string theory, he investigates supergravity solutions that are dual to meson-like gauge theory configurations known as k-strings, comparing results to lattice gauge theory and gauge theory calculations performed through Hamiltonian methods.
