Research Assistant Professor, Division of Rehabilitation Science
University of Texas Medical Branch
LHS Scholar, Cleveland Clinic

Mi Jung “MJ” Lee, PhD, OT, is a Research Assistant Professor in the Division of Rehabilitation Science at the University of Texas Medical Branch. Her research focuses on enhancing health-related outcomes to support clinical decision-making processes by improving their reliability, efficiency, and translation to clinical practice.

As a LeaRRn scholar, Dr. Lee will be mentored by Dr. Janet Freburger to examine the value and impact of OT care on cognition, self-care, and medication management with their relationships with hospital readmission rates in an acute care setting. She will closely work with Cleveland Clinic collaborators on: 1) identifying patients’ demographic and clinical information (e.g., cognition, self-care, and medication management); 2) summarizing patterns of OT care and its impact on patient cognition, self-care, medication management, and hospital readmission across different disease and demographic groups; and 3) analyzing relationships between OT care and patient outcomes (discharge home and hospital readmission).
