Brocha Stern, PhD, OTR, CHT is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Population Health Science & Policy and the Department of Orthopaedics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Trained as an occupational therapist and mixed methods health services researcher, she is specifically interested in the use of outcome measures to support effective, person-centered, and equitable care processes and outcomes

As a LeaRRn Scholar, Dr. Stern will be partnering with Intermountain Health under the mentorship of Natalie Leland, PhD, OTR/L, BCG, FAOTA, FGSA. Her project will focus on outcome measures in occupational therapy in the context of a learning health system. Project activities will include exploring the perspectives of key health system members to streamline measurement in outpatient neurorehabilitation. These activities will accelerate the standardized use of outcomes in occupational therapy practice for clinical decision-making as well as quality measurement and improvement.
