Carla S. Enriquez, PT, PhD, DPT, MS is a clinical research scientist with an academic appointment as Assistant Professor in the School of Physical Therapy Program at Kean University. She is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Dr. Enriquez’s clinical practice and research agenda focuses on orthopedic physical therapy and chronic pain, integrative pain management, quantitative sensory tests, as well as rehabilitation outcomes and health services evaluation. The academic content expertise that Dr. Enriquez holds are in the areas of Biomechanics and Kinesiology, Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy, Health Promotion and Wellness, and Research and Evidence Based Practice.

As a LeaRRn scholar, Dr. Enriquez will be working closely with Dr. Juleen Rodakowski from the University of Pittsburg and the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Johns Hopkins Medicine. The research collaborations will involve investigation of the cognitive, physical, and functional determinants of patient care transition across rehabilitation settings. The impact of this work is to inform and support clinical decision making processes for safe, efficient, and cost-effective transition of patient care across rehabilitation practice settings. As a Visiting Scientist at Johns Hopkins Medicine, Dr. Enriquez will also be joining the team of expert clinicians and scientists involved in the Activity and Mobility Program (AMP) at Johns Hopkins Medicine.
